AVquiz, MAMO and FashP

AV Quiz was conducted very well by santa... missy answered brilliantly, but came 2nd to the same 1st yr team that won oq... mamo, started after a lot of problems, 6 people on stage, kasyap, jayanth, +4 outstis, went on ok, esp with bisku's comments on the cctv screen... kasyapa mr oasis, 1 comparable to madhu, miss o. after that a 1.5 hour wait (pizza break) and fash p... 4 teams, all kundi, but was enjoyable... kill the backstagians, they sat (lay) right under the ramp and were sweating like hell... THE END OF OASIS 2K4...

amazing show again today... first i regreted for missing razmattaz, no longer tho...

The AOM fever and the dance floor!!!!

ok... this has nothing to do with oasis... just that 4 vetti people in my wing, playing age of mythology 15 hours a day, last 2 days. finally yesterday igot pissed off, resigned and went to M Lawns... i think i never mentioned the stalls... the very usual NSS was there, the star attaction, Pizza Hut with its 65/personal pan, a coke stall, sponz booth with a shrek structure, the usual royal bakery stall, a coffee stall and an amkette. and a lot of beauties...
had a pizza there, with full permission of Dr Bhat MD., went over to the dance floor.... this time its sponcered by AirTel, but the djs sucked, playing punjabi and hindi.... ofcourse, our aim was not to listen to music... we did have a great time. i repented for not having a video cam...

antaragni, motherjane, euphoria, rocktaves

antaragni...
was amazing... the lead singer (Raghu) stole the show. They did have a problem, they were all good individually, but thier's just did not mix up. The bass guitarist was great, but the lead was kundi.

i dont know much, but people say it wsa good too.

elims went on and on and on... and finals was over in a jiffy. lots of teams, lots of own compositons. but lots of people didnot like it.

scheduled to start at 9 in the even, it started at 1 in the night. pop... so there was not much attendance from the "rockers", i must say...! that also means i didnot go.

fusion & oq

vannakkam at 3:30. tuesday morning... just walked in after oq, it started at 130, got over just now. was good. for a change rohan murarka was the host. 6 teams, 1 non bitsian participant with chitra. was a close contest, 95-90, a first yr team beat sansaptak, aparajit and ganesh.
before that was fusion... wow, amazing performance by music club again, they performed first, so we decided to walk out after that.
filled the gap with a movie alaipauthey... me, kana, swagath and kaushik... kaushik cud not stop thinking bout violins, me bout amazing camara flashes...

boring it was, we entered when kmc were singing gazals... went back to pizza hut stall, found nothing there, had coffee, went back... and there they were the BITS music club... 3 amazing songs, mouna raagam(music only), thee thee thitikum thee in hindi and yeh desh bade from legend of bagath singh... divya's violin was simply superb... after that we didnt bother to stay back, will otherwise miss oq finals, miss anand qualified... rohan murarka is the quiz master... they gave him a little more money than the first prize and made him one!!! fusion should have started by now... so see u later.

Oasis Inaug

morning 830, i walk into the audi, they dont let me in... no place to even stand. i went to the first floor, cud find a place to sit on the steps... a cctv presentation was over, we had missed it... then was the succa body intorduction, every thing ws fine, but bisku was raped, his writeup read "i have a confession to make, i wrote this myself, my dept guys thought im not worth writing a writeup..." then there was a poem. actually we r very sad for bisku... it had his phone no and...
then after all the writeups, the welcome blabbering by kalyan, and rakesh's vote of thanks. lkm did not do a great job replacing amithab, as usual went to his students entreperuers stuff... then was the inaug of the structure, a double headed dragon, and a snake symbolising... crap. cctv pressentation of the depts was good. it was 9-930, culturals started... mime club performance... was good, for once. dance club, 4 dances all amazing. kandisa, yakkai thiri, chinamma jalakamma, and main aisa kyon hun... but the best part of the show was mime club's recreation of matrix... in total darkness, there was a person hanging in mid air... 5 full black people carrying him, they were abs invisible, people were at the edge of their seats, then a beautiful recreation on the matrix flash, most of my wingies wud have seen this one... i tell u its worth buying the inaug cd for this one alone...
bout it... today's events av quiz, oasis quiz, cel events worth 7000 and 3000Rs... edc plays tom is prof show one, 25th uforia.
